Obama Takes Lead
With the votes from the Potomic states -- Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia -- now in, Obama has finally passed Clinton in the final vote count. He has 1215 to her 1190. A twenty five vote lead isn't enough to be the front runner, but it is enough to lay any doubts aside. Clinton can only win if either she takes Texas and Ohio, or there is a backroom deal. Those two states go to the poll on March 4. With 1059 pledged delegates to her 956, Obama is starting to get enough steam up to head off any chance of superdelegates awarding the nomination to Clinton. But only starting to.
